Are you looking for a powerful, non invasive treatment for common skin issues? Red Light Therapy (also known as photobiomodulation) might be exactly what you need.

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy is a therapeutic technique that treats many skin conditions. Using specific wavelengths of red light, it creates a biochemical effect in our cells.   This effect improves ATP (adenosine triphosphate) synthesis in the body. ATP is the major source of energy produced by cells. The bottom line is that this allows cells to accept nutrients faster and get rid of waste products faster.

how does it work?

Red therapy light penetrates about 8-10 millimeters into the skin. When the light penetrates through the epidermal and dermal skin layers, it increases circulation to help form new capillaries. It also increases collagen production. Depending on which area of the body the red light is used, it can easily affect all skin layers, reaching into blood vessels, lymph pathways, nerves, and hair follicles. This therapy is FDA approved for chronic joint pain, slow-to-heal wounds, wrinkles, hair loss and acne.

How is it different?

Many other lasers used on the skin (such as an IPL, or intense pulse light)  cause damage in order to stimulate tissue repair. Red light therapy causes zero damage to the skin! In addition, since the wavelengths penetrate deeply, they’re more effective than most wrinkle-reducing serums. Red light therapy’s many uses include; stimulating production of collagen and elastin, reducing wrinkles, fine lines and stretch marks, and treating acne, rosacea and eczema.
